After listening to the album for a week plus, my opinions have indeed differed from the first impression. So never be too fast to judge it

Jay's music is not instantly catchy like Mayday's. You need time to let the magic infuse in your heart as time goes by....

The tracklist. I put a little heart next to those which I think is awesome.

No one takes my review seriously because to them, I am already a heavily obsessed fan who is practically crazy over anything that is Jay Chou-related.

That's right.. I love him more than anything else. But it was his music (and still is) that sparked the flame nine years ago, so I do not need to be biased against it at all..

1. 跨時代

Only Jay can rap and produce songs of such genre perfectly. This is similar to 龍戰騎士, 黃金甲, 半獸人, 無雙. Many people think that the auto tuned chorus ruined the song but personally I feel it made the song more unique. Love the beautiful vampire MV too which costed my babie NT10million to produce..

2. 說了再見

Usually it is his slow love ballads that catch my attention first.. But my first impression of this is that it is mediocre. I feel that it cannot match up to his legendary ballads like 安靜, 我不配, 最長的電影.... That was my initial impression. Now, it is one of my favourites and I find myself listening to it repeatedly. He doesn't sound like himself at the beginning wow.. A close fight but I still think 說好的幸福呢 from the previous album is nicer and sadder. This will be a really good ktv song though ♥ can't wait for his live version.

3. 煙花易冷

Fucking awesome song. Under the 'Love at first listen' category. Love his high notes and the entire song - from the beginning to the bridge to the chorus to the rap at the end. Somehow this song gives me a really eerie and creepy feeling..

4. 免費教學錄影帶

Another fave. The MV is damn entertaining and cute. Did Jay think of that dance? LOL.. This song has the 80's element. Huang Jun Lang's lyrics are damn funny, creative and complemented the song really well. Good job babie, another classic song from you ♥

5. 好久不見

Mix of mandarin and hokkien. Very lighthearted and I liked it at the first listen as well. I think this is a pretty new style by him! Nothing strongly outstanding but it is darn enjoyable.

6. 雨下一整晚

I ♥ his singing style here. People always say you cannot judge how well a singer's vocals are by CD versions. Fuck that... I've listened to Jay's live singing and although it isn't pitch perfect, he injects a lot of sincerity which is ♥. The song moves towards the zhong guo feng style in the middle and it is damn special...

7. 嘻哈空姐

This is banned in Mainland China, because of the flirtatious lyrics. Nothing much to say about this short song, except he sounds sexy when he sings the "ta wen wo coffee tea or me" part.. Woohoo

8. 我落淚．情緒零碎

A sad song that is similar to 轨迹.. The intro don't really suit the emo feel of the song though. But the chorus and lyrics are really sad :( I wonder what Jay felt while writing this...

9. 愛的飛行日記

Together with Gary Yang. This song didn't catch my attention at first either but it gets catchy after listening to it a few times. I like Gary's vocals....he sounds so smooth yet distinctive from Jay. A gem in the album

10. 自導自演

100% love. This will remind you of Jay in his Fantasy days.. RnB style. Only he can sing such styles in the entire world... really. My 2nd fave in the album.

11. 超人不會飛

Sometimes, I feel that I understand him a lot and vice versa. Don't ask me why.. huhu

My favourite track out of all would have to be 跨時代.

People will forever compare it to the previous album.. and in this case, I have to say I still prefer Capricorn. I think Capricorn is one of Jay's best albums (but this is to each own's preference really). The Era is very different and will stand out among the slow sappy love albums in the music industry though. ♫

Chou Chou is someone who will pay attention to even the tiniest details.

Another reason why I love him so much is because he will never disappoint me.
